Join us in experiencing two of Goondiwindi’s most prominent industries in the Cotton 2 Cutting adventure. Hop on the bus at Goondiwindi Cotton at 9.00am to start the journey into one of Australia’s most prominent cotton growing enterprises. Walk the cotton rows at Alcheringa, one of Goondiwindi’s very earliest cotton producing properties, learn the history of cotton in the Macintyre Valley region and experience cotton in its raw form. Discover what’s involved in the cotton production line from the paddock to the storefront .

Take a trip through one of two cotton gins operating the Goondiwindi region and learn how the cotton is sorted, graded and packed into a product ready for spinning. Stop for a quick bite of morning tea before ending up at the Goondiwindi Cotton storefront and view the finished product. After lunch we will learn why Goondiwindi is the horse mecca of Australia.... Cutting! Spend the afternoon watching some of the best horses and riders in action at the local cutting championship. Be amazed the talent and ability on display and listen to Australian cutting representative Lori Mackay explain the ins and outs of this truly Australian sport.
