BIGGER & BETTER IN 2019

The month long Discover Farming Festival is returning to Goondiwindi again this May, with more events, more places and more people planned for its second annual festival.

Start the month of May at the Goondiwindi Ag Show and experience what Goondiwindi is made of. Visit the Discover Farming crew and some of our local producers in the McColl pavilion and watch the Two Old Ducks cooking demonstration featuring some of our amazing local produce.

But don’t forget to also experience Goondiwindi and sit down and watch some of the region’s best sheep dogs in action, admire the stud sheep, cattle and poultry strutting their stuff, browse the arts, crafts and cooking pavilions and not to mention, don’t miss the camp drafting and show jumping, two of Goondiwindi’s most popular sports.

But the excitement of May doesn’t end there. Enjoy a full agricultural experience with a guided walk through the local saleyards, twilight tours with Goondiwindi Cotton, half and full day on-farm experiences through the Inglewood, Billa Billa, Yelarbon and Talwood regions, featuring lunch and dinner with some delicious local, gourmet produce and see cutting edge farm machinery in the heart of Goondiwindi’s premier crop growing region, the ‘Golden Triangle’.

If getting on-farm and experiencing what Goondiwindi has to off first -hand isn’t what your after, sit back and relax at Opera in the Gardens, learn a bit about our local history with Sunsets at the Victoria Hotel, touch up your cooking skills with lunch and dinner cooking classes with the Two Old Ducks, find something different at the North Star recycled art markets or just enjoy a casual walking food tour through the heart of Goondiwindi itself.

The amazing month of May will end with the Discover Farming signature event, a surprise dining occasion that will set the tastebuds alight and showcase some of the delicious, mouth-watering produce Goondiwindi has to offer.
